Walk the romantic sandy shores of Cannon Beach crowned by Haystack Rock ---an Oregon icon, and you will begin to see why I was inspired to paint this stretch of the intensely scenic Oregon Coast.
This particular scene was discovered accidentally after driving down the wrong street to get to the beach. Once there, my goal was to try to capture the unique patterns and colors of the coastal sky before sunset. The sun’s reflection off the Adirondacks chairs was magical, a moment in time I will never forget.
